Job Title: Outside Sales
Reports to: Vice President of Sales
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Summary:
Outside sales positions communicate with Customers and leads to identify and suggest product needs by demonstrating the functions of the products to meet their needs.
Outside Sales Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
 - Builds and maintains relationships with current clientele to enhance purchasing targets and encourage repeat business.
 - Communicates with Customers and Leads to identify and understand product or service needs; identify product recommendations to meet those needs.
 - Demonstrates the function of the products to Customers based on their needs.
 - Ensures Customer satisfaction through on-going communication and relationship management; resolves issues that arise post-sale.
 - Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services and enhancements that be of interest.
 - Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any Customer or vendor relationship problems.
 - Responsible for maintaining territory sales forecasts.
 - Responsible for developing leads to meet sales targets.
 
Requirements
Outside Sales Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
 - Undergraduate Degree (preferred)
 - Previous sales experience
 - Knowledge of appliance, lighting or plumbing industry (preferred)
 - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
 - Ability to obtain results and comfortable with team-spirited competition.
 - Provides exceptional Customer Service through enthusiasm for the Company and products offered.
 - Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance.
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 - Strong written and verbal skills, detail oriented and proficient in basic computer skills.
 - Must be able to travel up to 75%.
 
Physical Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Must be able to communicate with Customers and Builders.
 - Must be able to use a standard computer.
 - Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
 - Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
