POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Clean and polish marble using proper techniques and equipment.
• Dust tops of slot machines, chandeliers, ceiling vents and wall decorations using proper tools and equipment including dusters with extension poles or scissor lifts.
• Drive street sweepers, ride-on vacuums, scissor lifts, and other related machinery to complete assigned tasks.
• Operate hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment to assigned work areas.
• Use proper techniques and equipment when moving heavy items to clean areas.
• Scrub and extract carpets using proper techniques and equipment including a shampoo machine and carpet extractor machine.
• Remove waste from trash containers and transport to proper disposal area.
• Properly use and dispose of chemicals when conducting area cleaning.
• Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.
• Perform all other job related duties as requested.
• Maintains the highest standards to ensure the quality and cleanliness in the casino, public areas, offices and other required areas.
• Keeps the assigned areas maintained in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Cleans between slot machines, removes papers, glasses, debris, and discards all empty bottles.
• Keeps all equipment properly maintained, clean, and free of marks.
• Cleans all bathrooms in assigned areas outlined in job procedures and as trained.
• Reports emergencies and maintenance needs to Supervisor.
• Assists other areas as needed.
• Clean-ups biohazards according to proper procedures.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• At least six 6 months of experience as a Porter or similar position.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High School diploma and equivalent.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
• Able to lift 50lb 
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time

Preferred:

• At least 1 year of experience working on various floor surfaces using related cleaning, buffing, and extraction equipment.
• Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
