The Maintenance Engineer will coordinate, execute, and monitor the preventative & corrective maintenance and repair activities so that the facilities, machinery, power sources and equipment operate reliably and apply agreed improvements to safeguard site assets, safety, health, and environment. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Coordinate and support maintenance teams in executing and reporting routine maintenance activities, handling repairs of installations, equipment, and machinery (for example planned maintenance programs, shutdowns, or emergency repairs) to minimize business disruptions caused by breakdowns and malfunctions. 
  • Monitor the daily inspections of production machines and equipment as well as all electrical devices, power supply circuits, distribution boards, control panels, pumps, lighting systems, air-conditions, fire alarm system and spare parts to evaluate requests for repair. 
  • Diagnose & report breakdown problems to the department head.  
  • Monitor availability and state of maintenance tools, stores and equipment and advise on replacing or ordering new equipment and/or tools. 
  • Monitor performance of technical service contractors involved in utilities and services operations and implement corrective actions if necessary.  
  • Assist in developing maintenance staff so that repairs and services activities are completed accurately, safely, and on-time. 
  • Provide technical advice to maintenance and operations managers with regards to operational implications of capital projects implementation. 
  • Observe and role model all safety rules applicable on site. 
  • Handles special tasks and projects as requested to meet company objectives. 
  • Management will support and facilitate education, training, and action within their teams to effectively and adequately implement environmental policies, procedures and practices, as well as promote continual improvement consistent with environmental objectives.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in the flavor, food, or beverage industry.
  • Experience in technical engineering, problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Knowledge of EHS rules and regulations. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate to multiple user groups from site leadership to technician level. 
  • Experience with MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel.
