Join MCN Distributors, a Rheem company, where we provide top-tier HVAC solutions to contractors, multifamily industries, and commercial properties across the Northeast.

The HVAC Counter/Inside Salesperson contributes to company growth and profitability by assisting customer accounts at our Islandia, NY branch. They are responsible for prospecting for new accounts and growing existing accounts by uncovering additional sales opportunities, as well as, providing excellent customer support to our existing accounts.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour depending on experience

 

Responsibilities

  • Work together with Outside Sales associates to ensure our customer’s needs are met.
  • Updating customer orders, coordinate deliveries with the warehouse and answer sales calls for general inquires.
  • Take customer sales orders and provide timely quotations and accurate order processing.
  • Make outbound calls to customers who are eligible for new promotions and follow up on potential sales.
  • Assist with inventory management and stocking of the shelves.
  • Gain knowledge of the products that we sell to our customers.
  • Actively participates in training either in house or events offered by our vendors.
  • Provide customer feedback to leadership about pertinent information to our business.

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service, effective listening, communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills.
  • Technical expertise and knowledge of HVAC products is a plus.
  • Problem-solving and analytical ability.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment and able to multitask.
  • Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities.
  • Team player who works productively with wide range of people.
  • Able to also work independently with some direction.
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales goals and growing sales.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
