Summary
Working in our Oklahoma City, OK Distribution Center and reporting to the Distribution Center Manager, this position is responsible for the direct supervision of Value-Add operations. The Value-Add Supervisor oversees and coordinates all value-added services within the warehouse, including light assembly, kit building, custom printing, and relabeling projects. This role ensures that customer-specific requirements are met with accuracy, efficiency, and quality, while leading a team to achieve productivity and safety goals. The Supervisor partners with operations, quality, and customer service teams to deliver on-time, cost-effective solutions. This position is tactical, requiring strong floor leadership with a focus on team building and driving continuous improvement (Lean) initiatives.

Knowledge & Experience:
- High school diploma required; associate degree preferred; bachelor’s degree a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in distribution center or light manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of core warehouse functions including receiving, putaway & materials handling, order fulfillment, replenishment, shipping, and cycle counting.
- Experience collaborating with corporate and cross-functional teams such as Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Service, and Supply Chain.
- Continuous Improvement (Lean) experience within a distribution environment is a plus.
- Strong leadership, managerial, and communication skills with the ability to engage employees, build teams, promote a high-performance culture, and coach and develop others.
- Solid business knowledge and strategic thinking; able to understand customer needs, apply sound business judgment, and demonstrate critical/strategic thinking.
- Proven operational excellence with accountability for priorities, performance, and results.
- Effective collaboration skills; able to build and sustain relationships and influence outcomes.
- Must be able to travel by air for business purposes.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Essential Functions | Accountabilities | Performance Measures
- Provides daily leadership for the Hefner Distribution Center (DC) Value-Add area, promoting a strong “safety first” culture and driving the team to achieve and exceed operational and service goals. Supervises value-added projects such as light assembly, kit building, repackaging, and relabeling.
- Develops and implements work schedules, allocating labor, materials, and equipment to meet production schedules and customer requirements while coordinating inbound and outbound workflows.
- Ensures compliance with SOPs, customer specifications, and quality standards while monitoring workflow and addressing bottlenecks.
- Tracks project costs, labor hours, and output to support billing accuracy and cost analysis, and implements process improvements to drive efficiency.
- Frequent travel to CFS locations through the end of the year to support integration and operational alignment; thereafter, travel is occasional as needed for business purposes.
- Provides floor leadership through training, coaching, and mentoring of team leads and employees. Delivers daily communication, feedback, and performance reviews while overseeing TWI and cross-training programs to promote teamwork, accountability, and engagement. Fosters a positive work environment and drives performance, accuracy, and safety.
- Participates in the recruitment and selection of new employees and temporary labor. Assists the DC Manager and Human Resources with onboarding and provides new hire orientation covering safety, on-the-job training, scheduling, and employee support.
- Manages inventory control and cycle count programs for samples, demos, and finished goods, ensuring counts are completed accurately and promptly to minimize “Can’t Finds.” Maintains DC in an inventory- and audit-ready condition by enforcing proper handling, storage, housekeeping, and organization practices to prevent product mix-ups, damage, deterioration, or contamination.
- Sponsors and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and fosters a Lean culture through 5S, formal problem solving/Kaizen events, standard work, and Daily Management. Oversees root cause analysis to poke yoke solutions to non-compliance and defects.
- Supports the Quality Management System and corporate training and development programs through proper document control and employee training. Ensures standard work (SOPs and work instructions) are current and effective. Collaborates with CFS management to address complaints and corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Supports behavior-based safety program by attending monthly meetings and assisting with OSHA-mandated training for all DC and office employees. Participates in hazard mapping events and partners with the EH&S team on all safety and environmental matters.
- Ensures completion of administrative tasks for areas of responsibility; including Time & Attendance (ADP), Daily Management (SQDC, process charting), DC KPI input, and Powered Industrial Training and inspection records. Communicate project status, issues, and outcomes to management and cross-functional teams.
- Regular and punctual attendance consistently adhere to the assigned work schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
