Work with the District Technology Coordinator in providing timely technical assistance and support in the operation of the building computers, the computer network, distribution and use of software, new technololgies, video and AV equipment to administrators, teachers, and students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, networks, and AV equipment across the school.
- Provide timely tech support to staff and students through the ticket system.
- Assist with network operations and management alongside the Network Administrator.
- Train staff on software, Smartboards, projectors, and other new technologies.
- Update and maintain the school website, digital signage, and technology inventory.
- Manage storage, distribution, and replacement parts for software and equipment.
- Demonstrate understanding of all software and hardware in the building (Mac OS X experience preferred).
- Learn and adapt quickly to changing technologies while managing time effectively.
- Collaborate well with students, staff, and administrators; meet clearance and physical requirements
Qualifications:
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.
1. High school graduate.
2. Evidence of training in technical aspects of computer use.
3. Experience with PC based computers and Mac computers are preferred.
4. Ability to work with and relate to school age children as well as members of the professional staff.
5. Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
6. Current Act 34, Criminal Background Check; Act 151, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI clearance.
7. The person, while performing in this position, will be required to:
a. Sit, stand, walk, and occasionally be required to stoop, kneel and crouch;
b. Have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and
c. Possess effective judgment; communication, mathematical, planning and human
relations skills, and will be required to work under periods of stress due to the
nature of the position.
Terms of Employment:
* Full-time 10.5 month position.
* 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
* $26.17 per hour after a successful 90-day probationary period.
