This position will provide on call coverage on evenings nights, and weekends, to Jefferson Center 24/7 programs, including Withdrawal Management (WM), Adult Residential Recovery (ARR), and Youth Residential Recovery (YRR.) There is an option for this position to also provide weekday coverage when our Medical Director is out. This is a pool (non-benefitted) position.
This role reports to the CMO. In addition, there are direct line accountabilities to leadership of each of the 24/7 programs.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- MD or DO degree
- Successful completion of an emergency medicine or primary care residency and corresponding board certification
- Experience working with acute and chronic medical conditions and substance use disorders in adolescents with co-occurring psychiatric disorders
- Knowledgeable and current regarding general medicine, urgent care medicine, and evidence-based MAT
OR
- RN degree (or equivalent), Masters Degree in Nursing, FNP-BC, PNP-BC, or ENP-BC certification, Prescriptive Authority licensure by the Colorado Board of Nursing, and DEA certificate.
- Experience working with acute and chronic medical conditions, and substance use disorders in adolescents with co-occurring psychiatric disorders.
- 1-2 years experience working in primary care, emergency medicine, and/or additions medicine
- Knowledgeable and current regarding general medicine, urgent care medicine, and evidence-based MAT
Essential Duties:
- Respond quickly to calls from staff regarding medical concerns.
- Triage medical concerns as emergent, urgent, or non-urgent, and ensure appropriate follow up
- Communicate medical status updates and medication changes to staff
- On weekends/holidays, this may include entering appropriate medications into the HER enter appropriate
- Be informed of all abnormal medication events, including medication occurrence reports
- Be informed of vital sign abnormalities and advise staff on appropriate follow-up
Additional Duties:
- Maintains an understanding of how trauma impacts the lives of the people being served, works to ensure that every interaction is consistent with the recovery process.
- There may be other site or program specific responsibilities that are assigned by the CMO or individual Program Directors.

Pay Information:
- $350 per week base, plus $65 (per rounded up hour) for NP
- $350 per week base, plus $140 (per rounded up hour) for MD/DO
Each day a call is received, the provider can round up to 1 hour. Any time over one hour would round up to 2 hours.
