HistoSonics is a medical device company, founded in 2009, that has developed a non-invasive, sonic beam therapy platform that uses histotripsy, which is capable of destroying targeted liver tumors. Location: Minneapolis-based, remote. Willing to visit our Plymouth, MN location as needed.

Travel: 10% for events and training

Position Summary

The Education Coordinator supports the Learning Development team in the planning, logistics, and administration of internal and physician training programs. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth execution of education initiatives by managing physician enrollments, onboarding activities, program logistics, and faculty support. The Education Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating across teams to ensure that learners, including physicians and internal staff, are well-prepared for training, compliant with prerequisites, and tracked through completion.

Key Responsibilities

Physician Training Management

  • Manage physician enrollment into training programs, including LMS course assignments and prerequisite tracking.
  • Oversee program registration, ensuring accurate learner information and timely updates.
  • Communicate directly with Field Clinical Management regarding physician progress and prerequisites; escalate when requirements are not met prior to in-person Phase 1 training.
  • Ensure accurate records of physician participation, completions, and follow-up assignments.

Program & Training Support

  • Coordinate logistics for internal and physician training programs, including scheduling, communications, participant registration, and program materials.
  • Support instructional designers and training specialists by preparing documentation, presentations, and course materials.
  • Maintain updated program calendars, rosters, and training records.

Onboarding & Internal Training

  • Support onboarding of new hires, managing documentation and scheduling for 30-60-90 day training plans.
  • Partner with Field Clinical Management to ensure internal onboarding activities align with role requirements.


 
Learning Systems & Tools

  • Assist with Learning Management System (LMS) administration, including course setup, user enrollment, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Support implementation of new training tools and reinforcement resources to enhance learner engagement.

Regional Training Centers & Faculty Support

  • Coordinate faculty scheduling, communications, and contracts for regional training centers.
  • Provide operational support for training center programs, including attendee logistics and resource allocation.

Data & Reporting

  • Collect, organize, and report training data, evaluations, and program metrics.
  • Provide insights on learner progress and program outcomes to support continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in education administration, training coordination, or program support (healthcare/medical device preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with faculty, field managers, and clinical staff.
