Job Description:The Staffing Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the vendor and MNIT/MDH for all staffing and resource-related matters during the intranet migration project. This individual ensures that project teams are adequately staffed with qualified professionals, monitors performance, and coordinates with State stakeholders to address staffing needs and adjustments. The Staffing Manager also plays a supporting role in ensuring smooth change management and adoption by aligning the right resources throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for resource management between the vendor and the State.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and allocation of qualified SharePoint and project support resources.
- Ensure resources meet the required qualifications and are aligned with project needs.
- Monitor consultant performance, utilization, and compliance with project deliverables.
- Coordinate with State stakeholders on resource changes, extensions, or replacements.
- Support change management and user adoption by ensuring the appropriate resources are engaged at each project stage.
- Ensure continuity of expertise and effective knowledge transfer planning.
- Manage contractual obligations related to staffing.
- Participate in State evaluation and interview processes as required, representing the vendor’s staffing capabilities.
- Be prepared to support future extensions of scope and resource scaling as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Proven experience as a Staffing Manager, Resource Manager, or similar role on large IT projects.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, assign, and manage technical resources with expertise in SharePoint intranet design, migration, accessibility, governance, and Microsoft 365 integration.
- Understanding of project staffing needs tied to:
- Intranet design/implementation projects.
- Migration projects from legacy CMS to SharePoint.
- User experience and accessibility-focused projects.
- Governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Change management and training initiatives.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with government IT projects or enterprise-scale SharePoint migrations preferred.
- Ability to work in a dynamic project environment with evolving requirements.
