JOB TITLE: ITS Technician
JOB CLASS: Hourly, Full Time
JOB HOURS: 40 Hour Week, Typically M-F 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with possible variations to accommodate specific project requirements. Occasional overtime and weekend work as requires.
SALARY RANGE: $23.00 hr. to $30.00 hr.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installing & Maintaining Access Control Systems/Automated Gates/Intercom stations/ Networked Video Surveillance systems
- Familiar with electronic components, AC voltage systems, low voltage DC systems, computers, networks, and IP programming, , wireless communication devices (video & radio transmissions)
- Ability to use basic power and hand tools to perform installations
- Valid Driver’s License & able to drive to all 7 GDOT districts in a time efficiently manner, upon request.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the Company headquarters, the job site, or a designated meeting location
- Ability to work independently & with groups, flexible shifts and adapt to different work schedule, including willingness to travel out of town for projects, & respond to emergency work orders.
- Ability to perform physical work indoor/outdoors year-round in a variety of weather elements for 8+ hours a day, 40+ hours a week
- Ability to work on ladders, bucket trucks, and in confined areas (ceilings, IDF closets)
- Good customer relations skills.
- Good computer skills
- Ability to follow directions to complete various job tasks.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job, ability to operate equipment.
- Driver’s license required. (Must be able to meet our insurance requirements.)
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
- Minimum 1 year experience in job related field.
- Ability to work strenuously outside in all types of weather.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. for short distances.
- Ability to work on uneven terrain.
- Ability to properly hear and understand or interpret verbal job site instructions and properly perform such instructions.
- Must possess and maintain valid driver’s license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
