Specific Job Functions:
- Answer phones, assist callers whenever possible and direct calls to appropriate areas or take messages
- Maintain correspondence for the Executive Chef and other departmental management staff
- Distribute information to Executive Chef management and other pertinent departments
- Maintain and resolve guest complaints and issues as they relate to the Food and Beverage department
- Act as intermediary between departmental management, employees and the Executive Chef
- Supply purchase requisitions as needed for various Food and Beverage items and inventory
- Complete and handle proper distribution of company paperwork for management
- Create and update required departmental computer-generated forms
- Perform special projects generated by other departments
- Achieve all service, financial, and human resource goals set forth by company executives
- Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years’ administrative experience in a high-volume hotel required.
- Personal computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet program knowledge required
- Basic office equipment knowledge including copy machines, telephone systems, fax and printers a must
- Previous experience as an Executive Assistant to Director or above preferred
- Proper phone etiquette, people and communication skills necessary
- Able to communicate in English both verbally and written forms
