Summary

Perform a variety of tasks to facilitate the processing of nonconforming material through the ERP system and the Material Review Board.  Assure compliance with existing procedures for documenting and handling nonconforming parts.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties as assigned.

Work in conjunction with senior MRB Representatives to perform the following functions:

  • Maintaining a segregated, controlled and accurate physical and electronic inventory of nonconforming parts
  • Investigating nonconformance details to prepare parts for MRB review
  • Facilitating MRB Meetings for the disposition of nonconforming material
  • Processing nonconforming material in accordance with the MRB disposition and existing procedures, including coordinating with other departments as necessary

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

Position requires, at minimum, completion of an Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school (completion of Bachelor’s degree preferred); or 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read drawings and use inspection tools such as calipers, scales, etc. when verification of a stated nonconforming condition is warranted.
  • Proficient use of a computer and various software tools such as word processing, spread sheets and email client (MS Office Suite).
  • Proven ability to maintain strict adherence to existing guidelines and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous and well organized.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Persistence in facilitating timely disposition of nonconforming material.
  • Ability to understand basic math concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, cost, percentages and area.

 

Language Skill

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such a stately rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups. Ability to speak with customers and visitors interested in the workings of an MRB process.

                                       

Reasoning Ability          

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. May require lifting of up to 50 pounds. Work often travels between different company buildings. Therefore, the position requires the ability to freely move between the different buildings.
