Degree Audit Specialist

Essential functions (job duties):
Job Purpose Works with schools, colleges, and departments in the preparation and maintenance of degree requirements within the degree audit system. Collaborates with the technical team to maintain degree and other curricular requirements in the degree audit system and ensures that students’ degree evaluations accurately reflect their degree progress. Ensures that requirements are articulated within the degree audit system. Serves as the subject matter expert for the degree audit system, conducting training across the university to students, faculty and academic staff. Evaluates and determines degree audit best practices and identifies areas of improvement within the degree audit system. This position is also responsible for developing test plans to ensure continuous availability during system upgrades. Essential Functions (Begin with most important at top)
Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE: Familiarity with WSU schools and college degree and curricular requirements with Degree Works coding a plus INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Ability to work independently, effectively and collegially with faculty, deans, staff and senior administrators COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent oral and written communication skills PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. ANALYTICAL SKILLS: Ability to evaluate, interpret, and present complex information effectively in professionally prepared documents or presentations. Must possess a demonstrated attention to detail in order to achieve a high degree of accuracy.
