Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for administrating and maintaining the company’s information infrastructure.  This includes all IT operations to meet internal and external customer requirements, along with the support and maintenance of existing applications and working with management to implement new technical solutions.  
 
Major Responsibilities - reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:
 Ensure maximum performance, stability and uptime of all company IT systems and networks including multiple domestic facilities, remote field personnel and UK subsidiary.
 Maintain, evaluate and recommend replacement as necessary to meet current business needs; including all network hardware, servers, routers, switches, peripherals, terminals, wiring.
 Monitor and maintain network stability, analyze and remediate issues with network storage, capacity, utilization.
 Perform hardware and software upgrades, on network equipment.
 Prepare and maintain documentation / backups of network configurations and cabling layouts.
 Maintain and test disaster recovery programs. Including timely restoration after system failures.
 Administer network security and access for all users via Active Directory / Entra in accordance with company policy.
 Assist other departments to understand and meet their technology requirements.
 Manage and maintain VLANs, network segmentation, DNS, DHCP.
 Assist in the (network) installation of workstations, desktops, laptops and printers (IT and OT) on the LAN.
 Oversee / Manage Hyper-V cluster 
 Support users by creating documentation, instructions and / or training programs to maximize use of current technologies. 
 Develop, establish and maintain strong relationships with service providers (VOIP phone support, ISP, cell phone provider).
 Assist in managing IT budget development, monitoring and adherence to.
 Assist with management and support of VPN
 Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Targeted Salary Range: $85,000-$100,000 + bonus
 
 Education and Experience
 High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience, or Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related      experience (preferred).
 Experience working with, supporting, maintaining, implementing, administering:
o virtualization technologies (specifically - VMware, Hyper-V)
o systems such as Microsoft Server, Active Directory and Group Policies (GPO), and Entra.
o General understanding of Powershell / CMD line tools
o Extensive knowledge of Fortinet, Ubiquiti, Cisco Meraki firewalls, switches, APs, VPN configuration, and industry standard protocols
 
 Essential Skills
 Strong sense of urgency, customer/user focus and root cause corrections of problems.
 Ability to multitask, reprioritize tasks, complete projects and willingness/ability to work flexible hours to meet needs of business.
 Strong technical skills/knowledge of telecommunications, network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols and standards.
 Extensive customer service skills.
 Excellent oral, written and listening skills required to communicate well with people of all levels, skill sets, and backgrounds.
 Ability to work well in teams (as both leader and team member).
 Strong sense of ethics and a talent for efficient and creative problem-solving. 
 Excellent time management skills.
