Our Plant Management team has an immediate opening for Cell Manager at our flagship Buena, NJ plant who is ready to take their career to the next level. As Cell Manager at Comar you will be a critical member of the team managing all activities as it relates to manufacturing, ensuring safe and efficient operations. What you will do:
- Work with shift supervisors in managing these departments, driving safety, quality, and productivity.
- Ensure all quality procedures are being followed and maintained.
- Ensure that all process monitoring is being followed and adhered to.
- Identify inefficient operations and put together a cause and corrective action plan.
- Implement automation and other equipment upgrades to drive competitive edge.
- Enforce the company rules.
- Ensure all employees are properly trained to perform their duties.
- Conduct performance appraisals.
- Hold shift meetings to communicate potential issues to drive communication up and down the line of command.
- Maintain head counts to ensure proper staffing necessary to meet production demands.
- Work with the scheduling team for efficient scheduling of the lines.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Who we’re looking for:
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
- Four-year technical degree
- Manufacturing Experience
- ISO 13485 Experience
Do You Have?
- Good technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment, robotics, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to investigate and lead solutions for manufacturing/quality issues.
- Computer user skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), and ability to learn other computer software / systems.
- Strong leadership and relation building skills.
- Effective communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform complex tasks in multiple areas.
- Willingness for periodic local and overnight travel to various companies, industry meetings or professional organizations.
