The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join the team in either North Charleston, SC.
Join Boeing’s EHS team, supporting the 787 Dreamliner program. This role offers a hands‑on opportunity to protect employee health and safety and drive environmental stewardship initiatives across a rapidly growing campus.
Position Responsibilities:
Helps manage work statements and work collaboratively with 8 Safety and Ergo professionals (Team Lead)
Displays the capability to be decisive and make decisions
Anticipates important or critical events, identifying resource requirements and assigning responsibility for specific work, including deadlines and performance expectations
Integrates and provides stakeholders support and drive collaboration
Leads problem-solving simple to complex safety issues
Investigates incidents and provides corrective action to prevent re-occurrence of incidents
Performs routine observations and audits of manufacturing environment
Identifies and implements continuous improvement solutions
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ years of experience working in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
5+ years of experience assessing and evaluating risk
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, etc.)
Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
1+ years of experience in managing projects
Experience with aircraft systems
Experience with fall protection systems
Experience developing and implementing process improvements

Summary pay range: $110,500 - $149,500
