Executive Assistant
Department: Business Office Location: Lake Charles, LAExecutive Assistant
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
- Serves as executive assistant to Senior members of the Administrative team by performing high-level/high-quality administrative duties of a highly confidential nature.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Performs administrative duties of a highly confidential nature for the President/CEO & CFO.
- Processes payroll for various department heads.
- Communicates appropriately to members of Administration, employees, patients and their families.
- Coordinates and maintains administrative calendars in a timely and accurate manner.
- Organizes and maintains the administrative environment.
- Work closely with the Dept. Directors reporting to the assigned executive leaders.
- Refers patient/visitor concerns to appropriate Administrator in an efficient manner

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Two year degree in business or a minimum of five years demonstrated experience in higher level administrative support position. High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Broad range of administrative and technical skills in the context of the healthcare environment.
- Proven work experience as a Senior Executive Assistant or similar role.
- Advanced computer skills: knowledgeable of various word processing and computer programs, spreadsheets, typing, shorthand/speed writing skills. The ability to quickly learn various required software.
- Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English; Ability to communicate with patient, family, peers and medical personnel.
- Must be adaptable to change, be decisive and demonstrate foresight in a high pressure environment. Exhibit organizational and leadership ability.
- Demonstrate critical thought process and can work independently.
- Resourceful, ability to multi-task and a good problem solver.
- Exhibit a high degree of professionalism, self- starter and the ability to plan and meet deadlines

- May require sitting for long periods of time while working on a project.
- May require frequent standing or walking depending on scheduled events.
- May be required to work evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays.
