One of the services Vodec offers to our consumers is our pre-vocational services. We believe that every person who wants to join the community workforce should have the opportunity. Our pre-vocational services are stepping stones for our consumers to join the traditional work force. Our training model teaches and reinforces work habits and routines consumers will need for success in any industry. How? We partner with local businesses to perform basic elements of their production work, then bring their materials to our highly structured and accommodating work centers. There, our pre-vocational services staff shows consumers how to complete those jobs and coach them in how to apply the skills their learn to other types of work. We pay consumers a fair and legal wages for the work their complete.

Available Position

 

  • Location:  Omaha and Council Bluffs metro area
  • Full-time salary position; 40 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm
  • Wage: $45,760 annually
  • Hiring Bonus: $1,000 (paid in one installment upon completion of 6-months continued employment)

Your Role

 

You will have the opportunity to meet and work with local manufacturers, businesses or groups of individuals that may benefit from our pre-vocational services. You will play an important role within the organization to research and identify prospective customers, demonstrate and explain Vodec services and solicit contracts at enable our consumers to work.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Work with the Production Director to coordinate and increase prospective customers to solicit contracts.
  • Identify prospective customers and products by thinking “outside of the box”, using business directories, following leads from referrals, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Answer questions about products, prices, and credit terms.
  • Meet with customers to demonstrate and explain services.
  • Prepare lists of prospective customers.
  • Develop customized proposals and customer presentations.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
  • Coordinate sales orders to Production Director.
    • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales.

What You Bring

  • Undergraduate degree with a major or minor of study in sales or marketing or related area from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of three years combined experience to local businesses, including selling value-added services and outsourced services up to C levels or other upper level executive decision-makers.
  • Goal-oriented, passionate, high-energy professional.
  • Ability to think outside-the-box.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for phone and email-based outreach.
  • Strong resolve and unwavering persistence.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver's license and current auto insurance
  • Pass all background checks: criminal, DMV, dependent adult and child abuse registry
