Job Description:The Sales Support Specialist plays a vital role in enabling the sales team to focus on closing deals by handling administrative, logistical, and operational tasks that improve responsiveness, accuracy, and overall customer experience during the sales process. This role serves as a central resource for sales reps and leadership, managing everything from quote support and order tracking to event coordination and sales support within the Salesforce platform.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal & CRM Support
- Provide sales desk ticket support both by phone and by email
- Assist sales, in a learning environment with entering assessments into Salesforce – CPQ.
- Input new contacts and leads into Salesforce (SFDC) and maintain data accuracy during conferences and events
- Serve as deal desk support for large opportunities or questions related to Salesforce CPQ entry
- Coordinate large deal support, such as large deal strategy meetings
- Cross train as backup support strategic sellers with non-standard proposal development and submissions outside of CPQ workflows
- Monitor and manage open tickets in Salesforce
Sales Operations & Customer Support
- Respond to client inquiries regarding timelines, logistics, and general service updates
- Assist with customer service for minor requests and order status follow-ups
- Monitor dashboards in the pending approval stage to move deal packages forward including new customer setup and documentation submission
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in sales support, operations, or customer service
- 2+ years of experience with Salesforce (SFDC), CPQ tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Customer-first mindset with strong attention to detail and follow-through
Preferred Skills
- Experience with customer service or sales support
- Knowledge of public sector sales or preservation services a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
