Louisiana Bridge Builders (“LBB”) is designing and building the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana (USA) for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). LBB will also be responsible for the reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and approaches for a 5.5 mile stretch between I-210 West End and Ryan Street.

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY
The Document Control Coordinator is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by organizing, coordinating, maintaining, coding, filing, and distributing all project related documentation and records in accordance with company standards and client requirements to assist with the Project’s technical objectives related to design and construction.
LOCATION
This position is based in Lake Charles, LA.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the document management activities of the project by maintaining accurate records, tracking submissions, and ensuring compliance with established document control procedures.
- Coordinates with Client and other third parties to resolve document control issues to obtain final approval of submittals.
- Contributes to a workable document management system necessary that ensures the most current and approved revisions are readily available to support each phase of the project.
- Oversees all contract-related aspects of Document Control when applicable, with a clear understanding of contractual obligations and their impact on document management processes.
- Identifies document control risks and participates in the preparation of risk reports if required.
- Generate comprehensive reports outlining submittal status, supported by detailed dashboards that verify all documentation is complete, current, and aligned to the Document Management Procedure.
- Provides input in the review of the Project forecasts, providing the necessary technical part for its realization.
- Support in the execution stage.
- Guarantees an adequate organizational structure in document management, as well as its interface with other departments and systems.
- Participate and coordinate verification actions. Guarantees the correct transmission of design, construction, and commercial information to the entire project team.
- Conduct training activities on the document management system and processes for the project team.
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
At a minimum, the Document Control Coordinator must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, construction management, or related field of study along with 5+ years of proven experience in document control and working with routine Document Control hardware and software or high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 9+ years of proven experience in document control and working with routine Document Control hardware and software. Experience working with RIB CX, ACONEX, or Project Wise, is preferred.
