Mill Supervisor | First Shift | Roselawn, OH

The Mill Supervisor will oversee daily mill operations to ensure optimal performance, safety, and efficiency. This position involves leading and coordinating the activities of mill workers, ensuring adherence to production schedules, and maintaining high-quality standards. The Senior Mill Supervisor is responsible for troubleshooting production issues, managing personnel, and ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the rebar rolling mill day-to-day operations to ensure smooth operation and production schedules are met in a timely and efficient manner
  • Support leadership team with performance, feedback and performance evaluations
  • Foster a positive and safe working environment
  • Monitor all processes within the mill to maintain the desired production output and product quality.
  • Adjust machine settings and parameters as needed to meet production specifications.
  • Coordinate the loading and unloading of material, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, productivity, and safety of the rolling mill
  • Work with the maintenance team to schedule repairs or maintenance on equipment and machinery
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Suggest and implement changes to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall quality

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in rebar rolling mill operations or a similar manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree in engineering, or a related field is a plus
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of rebar rolling mill operations and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with quality control and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.

Pay:

$28-32/hr based on experience
