Job Description Summary

The People Partner (Associate) will manage strategic relationships within key business areas, partnering with business leaders to drive the business agenda and shape the overall strategy. This role also involves shaping key Germany HR projects and initiatives.

The People Partner will oversee organization design, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, leadership coaching, and workforce planning. With support from the EMEA People Team Centers of Excellence (COEs), the candidate will contribute to the successful execution of compensation and benefits, talent hiring, and development activities.

The role requires close collaboration with the People Services teams to ensure compliance with employment law across all HR areas, providing legally accurate and commercially sensible Employee Relations solutions in a timely and effective manner.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with business leaders and Heads to shape the business agenda, provide advisory support, and oversee the day-to-day management of assigned business units. 
  • Coach senior leaders on business and people development. Advise on career paths and development needs for key business roles. 
  • Use people data and insights to solve business challenges and guide business decisions. 
  • Enhance the employee experience by continuously reviewing policies and processes, while advising on their business impact as shaped by Centres of Excellence and People Services initiatives. 
  • Act as a strategic connector between business needs and the People team, collaborating with Centres of Excellence and the Global People Team to leverage expertise, programs, and insights that drive impactful business outcomes. 
  • Negotiation of employment terms, onboarding of key strategic talent.  
  • Design and implement compensation schemes and benefit packages, with a strong focus on utilisation of these systems to drive business performance.  
  • Lead and resolve specific employee cases. 

 

Knowledge & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's or other relevant degree in Human Resources preferred 5+ years of progressive HR experience working in a fast paced, global corporate environment.  
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse cultural environment, particularly within an Anglo-American culture. Fluent German and English language skills are essential. 
  • Strong experience in German employment law, employment contracts and negotiation. 
  • Expertise in talent management within growth-oriented environments, with proven proficiency across talent acquisition, rewards, benefits, operations, and people analytics. 
  • Familiarity with a competitive industry, real estate industry knowledge a plus. 
  • Strong numeric literacy, experience with complex compensation structures.  
  • Translate business objectives into targeted people initiatives by developing tailored, business-specific People strategies that drive performance and impact. 
  • Ability to adapt global and regional service offerings to meet local needs, ensuring Germany’s specific requirements are understood and addressed at both EMEA and Global levels.
