What you need to know
TTI is a Texas based agency. This position has the flexibility of a hybrid remote option with two days in a TTI Texas based office. This can be discussed further during the interview process.
The salary range for position is commensurate. Final salary will be determined based on the applicant's qualifications and experience.
Job Summary
The Project Specialist II, under general supervision, is responsible for providing intermediate project management support to deliver traffic safety projects within the established budget and timeline. Duties may include developing content for surveys and focus groups, conducting surveys and focus groups, providing ideas for future education and outreach projects/proposals with motorcycle riders and rider coaches/instructors, conducting statewide coalition meetings, planning and executing conferences, developing education and outreach content (e.g., social media content, program themes and messages), conducting outreach at public events, and scheduling and collecting data with human subjects. Additional duties may include literature review, data collection and analysis, and technical report development. Continued employment is dependent upon availability of funding and satisfactory performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs intermediate program and project development, disseminates project information, and liaison with motorcycle riding community and traffic safety community. Provides recommendations to achieve goals. (20%)
Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates programs and projects. Helps develop project budgets and prepare proposals. May manage budget for small to medium projects or components of large programs under the direction of Program Manager. (15%)
Coordinates project activities, collaborates with project team members, assists in the development of measurable project goals and objectives, and monitors progress toward achievement. (15%)
Plans and conducts meetings, conferences, and presentations. Prepares agenda’s for meetings, documents key decisions, and collaborates with team members to develop project collateral. (20%)
Writes and disseminates work plans and project documents to include procedures, proposals, progress reports, and presentations. (10%)
Performs other duties as assigned. (20%)
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience in project management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Other Requirements or Factors
Occasional travel for work assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
Texas Class M (motorcycle) license.
Experience working in motorcycle safety education/outreach.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform common office functions.
Ability to frequently communicate with other individuals within the workplace.
Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
