Seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Hebron, KY.
This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!
Pay is between $28 - $33 per hour (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills (4-axis & 5-axis) and CNC lathes.
- Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings to create accurate programs and setups.
- Utilize CAM software to generate tool paths for complex geometries.
- Select tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters for optimal performance.
- Perform first-article inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with engineers and production team to improve processes and reduce lead times.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years CNC machining experience with strong background in multi-axis milling and Swiss turning.
- Proficiency in CNC programming (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of G-code, speeds/feeds, and cutting tool selection.
- Experience with tight tolerances and working with a variety of materials (stainless, aluminum, Inconel, titanium, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with high-performance aerospace or medical components.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
- CAD/CAM design background.
