Our Food Services department is currently seeking a Part- Time Baker who is passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience. 

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for various aspects of the bakery, including the scratch and par-baking of all baked goods, decorating cookies, cakes, and other desserts. Additionally, the individual will assist full-time bakers and managers in developing new baked goods and menu options, while monitoring all baked goods for appearance, display, temperature, quality, and portion control. 

The ideal candidate must have strong Customer service skills as well as the ability to work at the front counter of the bakery and operate the POS system when needed. The Part- Time Barker is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Minimum Training and Experience

• One to three years of experience working in a bakery or related experience is preferred. 
• Possesses a strong drive and an eagerness to take on new responsibilities and challenges.
• Keeps a positive attitude and promotes such attitude to staff
• The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.
