Overview

The Reading Rock Hardscape Sales Market Manager is an entrepreneurial outside sales position focused on promoting and selling reading rock solutions to distribution and contracting customer segments in multiple markets and channels.   

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Team Leadership:  Work in a team-based platform and lead by example to implement continuous improvement initiatives for team members of various departments to ensure the Industry’s Best Customer Experience.
  • Industry Awareness:  Stay abreast of the ever-changing construction industry, product developments, and market shifts to help properly position for sustained growth.
  • Network:  Be involved in industry-leading associations and events to stay abreast of trends and everchanging market dynamics.
  • Territory and/or Market Leadership:  Active participant in the development and implementation of market plans including price, promotion, people, and product portfolio for your customer base and network influencers.  Target audiences to include, but not limited to dealers, contractors, and owners.
  • Identification and Prequalification:  Utilize industry search databases to identify and prequalify target customers and projects that support market plan achievement.
  • Preparation:  Generate takeoffs and quotations per project plans as required.
  • Market Plan Achievement:  Primary metrics for each Associate’s respective market and/or territory will include, but not limited to top line revenue, profitability, product diversification by account, customer retention, new customer acquisition.
  • Conflict Management:  Professionally address and help resolve matters affiliated with all key internal and external stakeholders for prompt and equitable solutions.
  • Policy:   Comply with written policies in accordance with Reading Rock core values.
  • Professional Development:  Participate in training opportunities associated with, but not [MR1] limited to personal skills, product knowledge, and/or process improvements.
  • Other position-related duties as needed & assigned.

  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Presenting, Negotiating, and Influencing to/with contractors, dealers and owners.
