Requirements
GLP Attorneys is looking to expand our team with an Office Manager to oversee the people and operations of our North Washington locations: Marysville, Burlington, Bellingham, and Wenatchee.
This is a full-time, in-office position, with the primary office located in Burlington, Washington. The role requires travel to Bellingham, Marysville, and Wenatchee up to 25% of the time. A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required. A firm car will be provided for daytime travel. About the Position:
The North Washington Office Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient, compliant, and collaborative department while upholding GLP Attorneys’ Mission, Vision, and Core Values. This includes overseeing Operations and Human Resources functions in the region.
In this role, you will:
- Be positive, present, and transparent with a focus on firm culture, employees, and the communities we support.
- Collaborate with the Statewide Office Manager team to develop SOPs, best practices, manuals, and checklists for facilities management.
- Manage the front desk and support front desk coordinators, including scheduling, conference rooms, meeting coordination, and handling mail, phones, and faxes.
- Oversee office supply ordering, food and beverage management, and the region’s petty cash account.
- Manage relationships with building facilities, including schedules, contracts, and maintenance. May assist with office moves, remodels, and furniture procurement/setup.
- Coordinate and schedule firm- or region-wide meetings and events, such as Employee Appreciation Week, CLEs, and seasonal events.
- Organize office events, including holiday parties, giving initiatives, birthdays, anniversaries, and more.
- Support regional recruitment and onboarding tasks, working with the IT service provider on onboarding and offboarding processes and technology needs.
- Assist with recruiting: posting ads, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, preparing interview packets, and conducting reference checks.
- Oversee onboarding, coordinating facilities, IT, marketing, accounting, and HR needs, as well as office-specific orientation.
- Help administer and/or facilitate the 90-day and annual review process; provide general information and have knowledge of benefits, compensation, and rewards programs.
- Coordinate exit and termination procedures with HR, IT, Accounting, and the Office.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned on an as-needed basis.
Qualified candidates should have experience, including:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with colleagues and clients in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
- Confidence in public speaking and skill in leading employee programs and initiatives.
- Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute.
- Exceptional proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and legal software applications.
- Solid understanding of office equipment and clerical procedures, including recordkeeping, filing, and general administrative tasks.
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to work independently, solve problems, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three years of management experience and/or relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
GLP Attorneys determines compensation for positions using local, national, and industry-specific data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wages in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our firm. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers, allowing the new employee room for future growth. Compensation will be based on the applicant’s location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
Compensation: $62,000–$80,000 annually, depending on FLSA status, qualifications, and experience of the selected candidate.
GLP Attorneys proudly offers a competitive total rewards package. In addition to the base rate, the firm provides employees with vision, dental, and medical/Rx insurance (with the option to open a health savings account), life insurance, a firm-sponsored employee assistance program, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a discretionary safe harbor and profit-sharing feature. GLP Attorneys sponsors 100% of the employee premium for those enrolled in the HSA preferred medical plan ($3,000 deductible). The firm sponsors 25% of all medical dependent coverage. GLP Attorneys sponsors 75% of the employee premium for those enrolled in the vision plan and 25% for those enrolled in a dental plan. Employees are responsible for the premiums for dependent coverage on the vision and dental plans.
Additionally, employees receive ten vacation days per year, a floating birthday holiday, eight paid holidays plus one flexible holiday, and firm-sponsored paid “bonus days.”
