Primary Purpose The Academic Programs and Operations Specialist is a key position within the Academic Deans Office (ADO), supporting the strategic and operational execution of academic programming in the College of Dentistry. This position reports to the associate dean academic (or their representatives, e.g. academic directors) and provides administrative leadership in academic governance, program accreditation, quality assurance, and policy implementation across undergraduate and graduate programs. Nature of Work This position functions in a high-volume, complex academic environment, requiring sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information. It involves multi-level collaboration with faculty, students, senior administration, and external stakeholders. The incumbent ensures academic processes align with university and accreditation standards while advancing the college’s strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Qualifications Education: Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., education administration, health sciences, business). An equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered. Minimum two to five years of experience in a post-secondary academic setting is preferred. Demonstrated expertise in academic program coordination and policy implementation. Familiarity with accreditation, quality assurance, and academic data systems are a strong asset. Experience working within health sciences or professional college is preferred.
