Description
Creation Village World School, an IB World School in Celebration, Florida, is seeking a passionate and visionary Farm & Garden Program Lead to steward and expand our nature-based learning environment. This role is central to integrating agricultural literacy, environmental stewardship, and sustainability education into our Preschool–12th grade IB continuum, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and CREATION Life principles. The Farm & Garden Program is more than a support service—it is a living classroom that inspires inquiry, fosters responsibility, and cultivates in students a deep respect for God’s creation.
Instruction & Student Engagement
- Design and deliver engaging farm and garden lessons for Preschool–12th grade that align with IB curriculum frameworks, CREATION Life principles, and RULER.
- Design and deliver standards-aligned lessons across PYP, MYP, and DP/CP that use the Farm & Garden as a laboratory for learning.
- Integrate units of inquiry with IB ATL skills, Learner Profile attributes, and Global Contexts.
- Connect learning experiences to the UN SDGs
- Guide student-led projects such as composting initiatives, water conservation systems, pollinator gardens, and food justice partnerships.
- Facilitate hands-on learning in gardening, animal care, composting, and sustainability practices.
- Support 4-H club initiatives, guiding students in leadership, agricultural projects, and community engagement.
- Foster student responsibility through daily/weekly student garden and farm tasks.
Program Leadership & Management
- Oversee the daily operations of garden beds, greenhouse, composting systems, and small animal care.
- Plan and manage seasonal planting cycles, harvest schedules, and campus sustainability projects.
- Coordinate with teachers to integrate farm and garden experiences into classroom units.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and order in all farm and garden spaces.
- Ensure the wellbeing of plants and animals, addressing health, nutrition, and environmental needs.
Stewardship & Community Involvement
- Promote a culture of stewardship and sustainability within the school community.
- Lead family and volunteer garden workdays, community events, and seasonal showcases.
- Build partnerships with local farms, agricultural organizations, and sustainability groups to enhance programming.
- Model and teach respect for creation, connecting daily farm practices with spiritual, environmental, and academic growth.
Leadership & Administration
- Train and supervise assistants, volunteers, and student helpers.
- Manage farm and garden supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Track and report on program growth, harvest yield, and student engagement.
- Collaborate with school leadership on long-term program planning and expansion.

Qualifications
- Education and teaching experience
- Comfortable working with students and staff in a school setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Creation Village World School.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather
- Previous volunteer work in the CVWS farm and garden
- Basic understanding of or interest in gardening, animal care, or sustainability
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow instructions with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
