We are looking for a talented Supply Planning Coordinator - Level III – OFFC to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our Cummins Inc. facility in Memphis, TN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Ensure Material Availability: Ensure timely ordering, confirming quantities and timing, to meet production and customer needs.
- Drive Supplier Performance: Help resolve constraints and improve delivery performance with your involvement in supplier improvement initiatives and allocation calls.
- Support Quality Standards: Validate planning data and manage non-conforming materials efficiently by performing checks on planning data.
- Optimize Inventory: Minimize excess inventory and managing part changes to minimize waste and reduce obsolete stock, supporting cost efficiency.
- Enhance Delivery Accuracy: Reconciling order boards and managing back-order recovery plans to ensure timely updates and execution of supplier schedules that meet customer needs.
- Promote Safety & Compliance: Actively engage in HSE reporting and training to help maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Foster Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively and contribute to improvement projects that will help strengthen teamwork and drive continuous improvement.
- Adapt and Grow: Complete training aligned with business goals and remaining flexible in your duties.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Navigate Complexity: Analyze large volumes of data and conflicting inputs to solve problems effectively.
- Streamline Processes: Apply efficient workflows and continuously seek ways to improve operations.
- Leverage Planning Systems: Use materials planning tools as your primary resource, supported by ad hoc tools for deeper problem-solving.
- Manage Part Changes: Implement engineering changes with minimal impact on inventory and delivery.
- Apply PFEP Principles: Ensure the right parts are delivered at the right time by aligning planning, transport, and warehouse systems.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- College, University or equivalent degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in an equivalent field such as materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control.

The Senior Role will help to coach, train, and develop the Closed Parts Analyst on all the tasks below:
- Meet on a weekly basis with the Closed Parts Managers to provide updates on training progress.
- May be required to travel to different sites to help with training and development.
- Walk to the warehouse floor to begin work, looking/reviewing all pink stickers on parts without a colored (green, purple, or black) dot.
- CP Material Analyst will review the quality of the pictures, PN validity, packing slip.
- etc. to decide if they can work on the case.
- If there are any receiver errors (exp: unclear pictures, wrong PN, wrong QTY, or wrong address) CP Material Analyst should follow the steps below:
- Claim the case.
- Retrieve a copy of the packing slip.
- Confirm the information on the packing slip with the data that is shown in the closed parts app.
- Work on the case in the app and place the proper dot color on the box.
- Upload the packing slip to the closed parts app.
- Create the expected receipt for the case and take a picture of the expected receipt screen.
- Upload the pictures (expected receipt) to the case.
- Claim the cases in the system and work to research the case to understand if we can keep the part or if we need the planner to step in and help to solve the case.
- CP Material Analyst will need to work with cross functional groups such as: Operations, Planning, Quality, and other key teams.
- CP Material Analyst will need to have good follow-up skills to make sure emails and cases are processed in a timely manner and moved from the floor to either: return to supplier, scrap the parts, or put away on the shelf.
