What Will You Be Doing?
The Manager of Airworthiness Directive Compliance is directly responsible for overseeing Frontier's Airworthiness Directive management system and monitors the process for correct and timely compliance with all FAA Airworthiness Directives (ADs).
Essential Functions
- Ensures compliance with the Frontier Airlines Airworthiness Directive Management Program as detailed in the Frontier Airlines General Maintenance Manual.
- Oversees the task requirements of the AD Compliance Specialist and AD & SDR Technical Specialist to ensure compliance with the Frontier Airlines Airworthiness Directive Management Program requirements.
- Ensures all ADs and Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) for Frontier Airlines are reviewed to determine applicability of initial scheduling.
- Ensures the review, approval, and release of initial and updated AD FMIS entries for tracking.
- Ensures the review, approval, and release of initial and updated engineering AD FMIS entries for tracking.
- Ensures the review of Engineering Orders for applicable ADs is completed in a timely manner.
- Ensures that the database of all ADs and NPRMs is maintained as required.
- Ensure that all of Maintenance organization activities related to complying with all ADs is monitored and reported to the AD Review Board during the bi-weekly meetings as required.
- Monitors all aspects of AD compliance and reports delinquent status to the Director of Quality Assurance/Chief Inspector.
- Maintain familiarization with the training requirements necessary as defined in the Section
- 100.03 Maintenance Training for Maintenance Organization Personnel and ensure training is current prior to performing the functions and tasks of this position.
Other Functions
Monitor, establish, and modify processes and procedures related to the AD Management Program as stated in the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) Section 90.27 Airworthiness Directive Management. Those proposed changes will be submitted to the Director of Quality Assurance/Chief Inspector for final review and approval.
Qualifications
- Required — A bachelor’s degree or a minimum of five years’ experience in airline maintenance, engineering, or aircraft records.
- Required — Minimum of three years Aircraft Maintenance Planning.
- Required — Minimum of three to five years’ experience with Airworthiness Directives.
- Required — a minimum of three to five years’ experience researching and interpreting CFRs and other FAA documentation (ACs, ADs, Orders, Notices, FAA Handbook).
- Required — Knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations and FAA documentation (Advisory Circulars, FAA Orders, Notices, TCDS).
- Required — Experience working with the FAA.
- Preferred — FAA A&P certificate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must demonstrate behavior that portrays the company core values of Safety, Respect, Trust, Collaboration, Value, and Passion while communicating with personnel and acting on behalf of the company.
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and MRO tracking systems.
Equipment Operated
Airbus family of aircraft preferred.
Work Environment
- This role can be based at our headquarters in Denver, CO or anywhere in the United States via a remote work arrangement (periodic travel to Denver from a Frontier-serviced city required)
- If remote, you must be able to follow our remote work policies, including ability and comfort level working from home with access to a high-speed internet connection
