�� Position: Packaging Engineer Apprentice – master’s Level

�� Mission Overview
As a Packaging Engineer Apprentice, you will play a key role in two major areas:
- Improving packaging data and document management across the organization.
- Redesigning and implementing a comprehensive packaging lifecycle process, covering both innovation and change management, with a collaborative and cross-functional approach.
�� Main Responsibilities:
Data and Document Management for Packaging (Year 1 – ~9 months)
Close-out target: Summer 2026
- Assess the current state of packaging data and documentation within the Global Packaging Repository (GPR) — including availability, accuracy, and compliance.
- Lead 5S activities to clean, extract, sort, and organize data and documentation.
- Design and implement robust processes to collect, store, and maintain accurate, up-to-date packaging data.
- Define clear guidelines for data transfer and document handling across teams and systems.
- Collaborate with IT and external partners to digitalize the GPR and streamline packaging technical data management.
- Promote adoption of the new system through training and coaching of key users.
End-to-End Packaging Lifecycle Process Improvement (Year 1 & 2 – ~24 months)
Close-out target: Spring 2027
- Evaluate the current Packaging Lifecycle process, identifying key gaps and areas for improvement.
- Engage stakeholders from cross-functional teams (e.g. Safety, Regulatory, Quality, Food Safety, Procurement, Sustainability, Supply Chain, Packaging Engineering, Global Master Data) to define a future state process.
- Lead a structured project approach:
- Map current vs. desired state.
- Analyse pain points and risks.
- Present 2–3 value-driven process improvement options to project sponsors
- Support implementation of the selected process:
- Provide training and coaching.
- Collect feedback from users and refine the approach.
- Monitor performance, track KPIs, and report outcomes to sponsors and functional teams.
- Ensure the new process supports compliance, cost optimization, and sustainability objectives across all regions and departments.
