About the Role:
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the business services facility located at Degree Kierland, KIER, ensuring seamless integration of hospitality, food and beverage, and corporate sales functions. This role demands strategic leadership to drive project sales growth while maintaining strict cost control and optimizing food costs to maximize profitability. The General Manager will lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability through effective people management and incentive programs. They will be accountable for the overall P&L management, ensuring financial targets are met and operational efficiencies are continuously improved. Ultimately, this position is pivotal in delivering exceptional service quality, enhancing customer satisfaction, and sustaining long-term business success in a competitive market.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a general management role within the hospitality or business services industry.
- Proven track record in managing P&L, cost control, and project sales.
- Strong leadership experience with demonstrated ability in people management and team development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management.
- Experience with corporate sales and managing large-scale food and beverage operations.
- Certification in hospitality management or project management (e.g., PMP).
- Familiarity with incentive program design and implementation.
- Experience working in a multi-unit or multi-department environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily operations across hospitality, food and beverage, and corporate sales departments to ensure high standards of service and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to drive project sales and expand the client base within the business services sector.
- Monitor and control food costs and overall expenses to maintain budgetary compliance and improve profit margins.
- Oversee P&L statements, analyze financial performance, and implement corrective actions to achieve financial objectives.
- Design and administer incentive programs to motivate staff, improve productivity, and enhance employee retention.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members to build a skilled and motivated workforce aligned with company goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards within the facility.
