Wood is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team in either Sale or Melbourne on a permanent basis. Travel offshore occasional.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintenance and projects in the Oil and Gas industry with a background in process / civil / mechanical engineering and some background in equipment strategy / risk assessments and you will be working directly for the client and reporting to the Offshore Superintendent.

Responsibilities

The key objectives for this role are: 

  • Decommissioning Scoping   
  • Engineering leadership for decommissioning scoping on producing and non-producing platforms 
  • Technical scoping through eMOC process and coordination with field and technical teams 
  • Project management/coordination of decommissioning activity, including business justifications and prioritizing activity schedule 
  • Backlog Review and Risk Identification 
  • Additional engineering support for backlog reviews, particularly for those items that are included in the Decommissioning scope 
  • Identifying any new/changed risks that should be managed because of changes in the process system as we shut in various parts of the plant

Requirements: 

  • Demonstrated experience in a complex operating asset in a maintenance team role 
  • Solid knowledge and experience of maintenance, ideally within the Oil & Gas industry 
  • Solid knowledge of Safety Critical Elements, Performance Standards and Planned Maintenance
  • Experience with engineering systems, procedures and Asset Management 
  • Demonstrate experience with safety management systems and commitment to safety
  • Experience with CMMS, Maximo preferred
  • Maintenance Planning experience desirable but not essential
  • Mechanical or Process or Civil Engineering background
  • Competent understanding of P&IDs, C&E Charts, Datasheets etc
