This is an initial 6-month engagement (with opportunity for it to extend or become a full time role), and your success is directly tied to our ability to achieve our goals of adding 15 new deals to the pipeline from events in 6 months. Creating clarity about the effort it takes to run multiple successful events will help us understand if this role should be a permanent full-time job.

What you’ll be doing

As our Fractional/Contract Events Manager, you will be pivotal in scaling our most effective channel for generating high-quality leads. Your core mission is to execute and manage the end-to-end management of our key marketing events, ensuring a high return on investment (ROI) and a steady flow of qualified leads into our pipeline. This is a critical role for executing our H2 2025 and H1 2026 marketing plan, and you will be at the forefront of solidifying Sensat's presence in the UK and US markets.

  • Strategic pre-marketing & content alignment: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute pre-marketing plans. You will ensure all event messaging and materials are aligned with our brand and strategic goals, setting the stage for successful lead generation.

  • On-site execution & logistics: You will be responsible for the seamless execution of event logistics, managing everything during the event to ensure a flawless experience. This includes implementing schedules for where roles Sensat attendees should take on at the events, to ensure the most value is gained.

  • Post-event lead management: design a repeatable process for post-event tracking and lead follow-up. You will work to ensure that all contacts from the event are properly nurtured, qualified, and handed off to the sales team for conversion.

  • ROI & process excellence: Proactively track and analyse event performance against key metrics. Your insights will be crucial for refining our future event strategies. You will also contribute to developing our event playbooks and processes for a scalable approach.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven international events expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing the end-to-end event lifecycle, preferably within the B2B SaaS or technology sector, ideally in both the UK and the US. You understand how to turn an event into a tangible business opportunity.

  • Operational excellence: An exceptionally organised and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are a self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

  • Marketing & commercial acumen: A strong understanding of the sales funnel and events' role in generating pipeline. You can align event efforts with broader marketing goals and measure their commercial impact.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management: You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships with vendors, internal teams, and event attendees.

  • Proactive & resourceful mindset: You take full ownership of your work, proactively identifying areas for improvement and articulating the resources you need to drive success.
