* * * THIS POSITION IS OPEN FOR THE ECE PROGRAM * * * TITLE 1 FUNDED POSITION * * * DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Under the immediate direction of the Director of Elementary Education or designee. The position of Academic Coach is specializing in literacy skills for elementary school students. This role is focused on providing targeted support and guidance to enhance students' proficiency in math and language arts. The Academic Coach will collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to design and implement strategies that promote academic growth and success. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Permanent status in LUSD • Meet district standard performance ratings on Stull evaluation and, in the preceding four years, have no unsatisfactory or needs improvement rating • Three years or more of teaching experience in elementary education • California Multiple Subjects Credential • BA in Early Childhood or Child Development or related field and 24 units in Early Childhood Education • EL Authorization (BCLAD, CLAD, ELD/SDAIE) • Appropriate certification to teach English language learners (CLAD, BCLAD, SB1969 certificate, BCC or LDS certificate) or willingness to make a commitment to gain certification within one year of assignment

$60,886 - $118,476 Annually
