Arobas Personnel is looking for a Video Editor for a mandate with one of its clients located in Montreal, Ontario, Atlantic Canada, or Quebec.
*Remote : Hybrid*
What your day will look like
- Operate editing equipment efficiently: color correction consoles, audio consoles, and digital control oscilloscopes.
- Create trailers (promos) from series highlights and content, following required formats.
- Demonstrate creativity and problem-solving skills to meet client objectives.
- Proficiently use DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Encoder to:
- Import, organize, and export media files from multiple sources into various target formats.
- Import/export graphics, audio files, projects, sequences, and libraries in a networked environment.
- Manage media and project files in a multiuser setup.
- Perform audio mixing and smoothing for broadcast purposes.
- Execute technical adjustments (color correction, sound level adjustments).
- Edit promotional content, special programs, and long-format documentaries while ensuring HD quality.
- Ensure compliance with ATSC A/85 loudness regulations.
- Collaborate with clients and creative teams to deliver high-quality final products.
- Adapt and refine edits based on creative team feedback.
Desired profile
- Fully bilingual (French & English, spoken and written).
- Post-secondary degree in production or technical standards.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in advanced non-linear editing, advertising, or TV production.
- Strong creativity, organizational skills, and ability to manage priorities.
- Proven leadership, proactive mindset, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and team spirit.
- Solid command of Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, and working knowledge of After Effects and Encoder.
