Hertfordshire Care Providers Association (HCPA) is a multi-award-winning company that is dedicated to providing excellent support to providers of care services in Hertfordshire and beyond. The HCPA leadership and commercial education team deliver critical, high quality, management training to established and aspiring leaders in key roles in Hertfordshire, and nationally through the Care Professional Academy, to ensure that they thrive and continue to grow their services. We are now looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and detail orientated Project Officer to support our educators and build on our successes to further develop the team. We foresee this role having the potential for growth and expect the right candidate to grow the position into a project lead.

What does the role of Project Officer involve?

You will be supporting the Leadership & Commercial Education Department to plan, organise and ensure a smooth administrative process, and learner journey, within projects’ requirements. This will involve:

  • Working closely with Leadership Educators to support the efficient and successful delivery of Leadership and Management Courses from start to finish
  • Carry out checks of learner eligibility to support project requirements, identifying and addressing additional learning needs, manage eligibility checks, confirmations, documentation, and issue certificates upon completion.
  • Collect paperwork and documentation and securely store accurately through relevant IT systems
  • Support by hosting training session alongside any training providers, online and face to face
  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery of leadership and management courses, including scheduling, cancellations, venue booking, trainer support, and resource preparation.
  • Working with the Finance Team for invoicing and funding, and collect, process and report on data from different systems to support the successful delivery of a project
  • Any general tasks as requested which contribute to the smooth running of HCPA

Am I the right person for this Project Officer position?

At HCPA, we are looking for individuals to work for us who are passionate about our company goals and values. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with excellent IT and project administration skills, who is also organised, has meticulous attention to detail and is process driven. You can hear a smile down the telephone line, so we need someone who has great customer service skills.

We are also looking for you to:

  • Have previous project administrative experience and strong attention to detail
  • Have excellent communication skills both written, IT and verbal
  • Have proven experience in following quality assurance systems and processes
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word – any additional software experience would also be considered a benefit
  • Be adaptable - training may be within the HCPA training centre and may also be courses which need to be delivered at a client’s site or alternative venues. These may not always be ideal venues for teaching and may require adaptability. You may also be required to work from these venues
  • Hold a UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle with insurance for business use.

Experience working within an educational setting is desirable for this position.
