Responsibilities
Implement an Emergent Curriculum that supports individual development
Maintain daily documentation, reporting, and attendance records
Support children’s emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioral development
Collaborate with professionals like Speech or Occupational Therapists as needed
Ensure health, safety, and licensing compliance, including room ratios
Participate actively in team meetings, workshops, and classroom transitions
Qualifications
Valid Nova Scotia ECE License
Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry
Up-to-date Immunizations, including 2-step TB test
Valid Standard First Aid and CPR (Level B or C)
Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 45 lbs
