Join American Commercial Barge Line as an IT/Helpdesk Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting our technology infrastructure. The Helpdesk Intern is the first level of support for all components of the ACBL computers serving both remote and on-site employees at all ACBL locations. Assist in troubleshooting technical issues, providing end-user support, and contributing to various IT projects under the guidance of experienced professionals. What you will be doing... Your IMPACT 

  • Assist the IT team with day-to-day tasks and projects.
  • Administer the ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT hardware and software issues. 
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and networks.
  • Provide technical support to employes and helpdesk assistance.
  • Assist with IT asset management and inventory control. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address IT-related needs. 
  • Document IT processes and procedures.

What we are looking for...

You will need to have: 

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications. 
  • Strong interest in the information technology field with a desire to learn and grow. 
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to take on new challenges and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
