Summary
This position will support the Modernizations/Upgrades, Spare Parts, Repair/Maintenance and Field Service for Long Products Medium / Heavy Section Rolling & Finishing Equipment.

What you’ll do
- Responsible for development of the Medium / Heavy Section Rolling & Finishing equipment business in the USA.
- Works directly with General Manager, Sales Manager and Product Specialist in the development and ongoing update of the Long Products strategic plan for Medium / Heavy Section Rolling & Finishing equipment in the USA.
- Regular interaction with respective Medium / Heavy Section Rolling & Finishing Product Managers and Technical Sales Managers from Germany and Italy with periodic coordination and/or training meetings in Germany and/or Italy.
- Ascertains customer requirements, evaluate feasibility, develops solution(s) in coordination with the respective Medium / Heavy Section CoC to meet customer’s requirements.
- Supports the preparation of proposals/quotations including scope of supply, cost estimates, technical specifications and proposal drawings.
- Supports Medium / Heavy Section Rolling & Finishing equipment repair & maintenance business.
- Supports Medium / Heavy Section Rolling & Finishing equipment spare parts business as required.
- Provide onsite technical assistance and sales support to customers as it relates to Medium / Heavy Section Rolling & Finishing equipment and components.
- Provide project and field service oversight, managing customer expectations with an emphasis on sales/business development.
- Work directly with other LP Product Managers and LP Product Specialists in the expansion of overall Long Products technical support and business development.
- Provide business / marketing plans for development of additional business opportunities and product growth.
- Expected travel, 25% to 30%
What you’ll need
- BS-ME/EE – or 10+ years relevant long products equipment experience.
- Broad knowledge of the long products steel industry generally gained after 5+ years and successive progression through the industry
- Requires strong working knowledge of LP process, equipment, operations, maintenance, engineering
- Demonstrated prior success in technology commercialization
- Experience with autonomous systems applications
- Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team driven philosophies
- Demonstrated proficiency in supporting corporate interest from remote site locations and ability to communicate and exercise very positive people skills.
- Requires travel to market established accounts in the USA.
