SUMMARY
Supervises Operation Technician and Product Management team members to ensure blood collection goals are met by overseeing processes designed to provide donor care, efficient donor collections, and proper resource utilization. Additionally, oversees a donor center facility, manages donor center supply inventory levels, and maintains all other processes associated with a donor center facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises and assesses that mobile and donor center personnel perform assigned duties in compliance with all policies, processes, and procedures.
- Leads and performs decision making duties, processes, and activities that encompass collections goals of 10,000+, responsible for 5-20+ staff members for mobiles and donor centers, and on-site distribution of blood products.
- Performs technical duties for donor screening, blood collection and automation production for all donation types.
- Provides expertise to handle all questions regarding donor selection, venipuncture, automation, and donor questions.
- Promotes employee retention and professional growth by providing a positive and supportive culture and environment.
- Authority to recommend personnel decisions such as hiring, promotion, performance evaluation, coaching, disciplinary action, and terminations.
- Facilitates employee development by providing feedback, coaching and mentoring with the coordination of management.
- Ensures team members have adequate training to perform designated duties.
- Responsible for oversight of assigned donor center facility, blood distribution activities, and fleet management.
- Responsible for managing inventory of supplies needed to operate assigned donor center and supervises all necessary maintenance of equipment.
- Demonstrates defensive driving techniques at all times to provide safe transport of staff and supplies. Drives the mobile vehicle in time scheduled to and from mobile. Prepared at all times for adverse weather conditions.
- May assist with the fleet equipment and supplies during the preparation before and after mobile drives. Performs checks of sites/staging and fleet to ensure all LifeServe property and critical supplies are present prior to any departures and returns.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Operations Technician I, Operations Technician II, & Operations Technician III
- Operations Technician Team Leader
- Product Management I & Product Management II
- Product Management Team Leader
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree and LifeServe supervisory experience of 3+ years required.
- Bachelor’s degree and LifeServe supervisory experience of 3+ years preferred.
- Preferred experience of 3+ years in current LifeServe Donor Services position.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- May need to complete a truck driving program or defensive driving course preferred for mini coach and 40-foot Mobile Coach if driving the bus
- Working knowledge and experience working on computer systems required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- RN or LPN with current licensure recognized by Nurse Licensure Compact of states preferred.
- Current in CPR required.
- Current Driver’s license and motor vehicle report meet insurability requirements.
- May need to complete a truck driving program or defensive driving course preferred for mini coach and 40-foot Mobile Coach if driving the bus
- CDL license may be required, minimally Class B for 40-foot Mobile Coach if driving the bus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sit; stand; walk; twist/turn; stoop/bend; squat; climb; balance; reach above shoulder; use of hand/wrist for fine/simple/gross motor skills and machinery usage; forearm rotation; and lifting 26-50 lbs. and carrying 11-26 lbs.
