Description
Kalos Services is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant to support our Electrical Team. In this role, you’ll partner with our Department Director to source and secure electrical materials, equipment, and services essential to construction and service projects. Your contributions will ensure our electricians have what they need to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality work.
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $22 - $26 per hour (based on experience)
- Bonuses: Discretionary quarterly bonuses based on performance metrics.
Key Metrics for review:
- Accurate Purchasing: Procure materials and commodities at the best possible prices.
- Proactive Planning: Ensure all necessary materials are ordered and available before the project's start date.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear and proactive communication with superintendents and project managers, keeping them informed about all orders.
- Order Tracking: Accurately track and document all purchase orders.
- Blueprint Review: Assist in reviewing project plans to ensure no items are missed through Friday
Requirements
- Support sourcing, evaluation, and relationship management with electrical suppliers and vendors
- Request, review, and organize supplier quotes for cost-effective and timely purchasing
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure prompt delivery of electrical gear, panels, conduit, wiring, and fixtures
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in compliance with company policies
- Monitor inventory levels for active and upcoming electrical projects
- Assist in negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, deliveries, and supplier performance
- Generate purchasing activity reports and assist with budget tracking
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures
- Communicate material status updates, delays, or issues with stakeholders and field leadership
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Electrical Supervisors to align procurement with project needs
- Inspect incoming materials for accuracy and quality
- Contribute to process improvement and efficiency initiatives within procurement
- Coordinate with the Warehouse team to review in-house stock and/or identify materials returned from previous projects that can be reused before purchasing new items
Additional Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred
- Prior experience in procurement, purchasing, or inventory management (construction or electrical preferred)
- Knowledge of electrical materials, tools, and equipment strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP or procurement systems a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accountability in documentation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under deadlines
