Responsible for management of all inventories (Finished Goods, Raw Materials, and Supplies) and warehouse duties to ensure inventory accuracy and product is shipped to meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities:JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures the warehouse area is compliant with all Safety and 5S requirements.
- Monitors and reports on all manufacturing transactions including receipt of raw materials, work in process transactions, finished goods production, raw material levels, and similar activities.
- Leads regular cycle count activities and ensures system inventory balances are correct.
- Monitors and coordinates Recycle material activities.
- Coordinates the receipt of raw material, additives, spare parts and general goods from suppliers
- Reviews Open Order reports and schedules carrier pickups accordingly
- Ensures all warehouse audits daily, monthly, and quarterly are complete.
- Segregates product to avoid confusion and eliminate errors
- Prepares orders for shipment including coordinating all necessary paperwork for outbound shipment (not including certificate of analysis)
- Monitors and maintains accuracy of shipments by utilizing roll tracking and computer-based systems
- Ensure FIFO inventory rotation
- Monitor quality of packaging from manufacturing
- Monitor and maintain accuracy of inventories levels of Finished Goods by line, customer and item.
- Coordinate the activities of shipping/receiving clerks and material handlers
- Leads cycle count activities.
- Responsible for warehouse personnel forklift and safety training
- Responsible for ensuring forklifts are safe and operational daily.
- Responsible for preventing nonconforming products from shipping to our customer
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse using 6S.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment.
COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Perform basic math skills and read a tape measure
- Requires a positive team-oriented attitude and communication skills.
- Must also be able to multi-task, with little direction while maintaining a high attention to details.
- Knowledge and ability to use computer equipment
- Able to operate a Forklift safely, once trained.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Job functions will be performed in and around production lines, warehouses, silos’, pumping stations.
- Outside weather conditions may affect the temperature in the plant.
- You must wear PPE (which includes a vest, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toe shoes, bump-caps, gloves as appropriate) as directed.
EFFORT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Work is performed on the plant floor & warehouse with frequent contact with others.
- Requires prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending, stooping and stretching, manual dexterity.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
