The registered CT/MRI Technologist 2 arranges patients for Magnetic Resonance and Computed Tomography examinations. Produces MR and CT images to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. Prevents patients from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. CT/MRI technologist monitors and ensures safety of patient and all personnel prior to entering magnetic area. Performs patient screening by using pre-established protocols for any ferrous materials and medical device history, safe administration of contrast media, and utilizes departmental policy to perform safe operation of equipment and all functions of the job. Provides complete pre and post education to patients and family. Works under minimal supervision and may perform additional job duties. Able to evaluate the competency level of others.
