JOB TITLE: Financial Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY 


This role is for a highly detail-oriented individual with a do-it-yourself attitude and a passion for innovation. You'll be responsible for a wide range of financial reports presented to all levels of the organization. This position offers high accountability, visibility, and a significant opportunity to learn the business at a granular level. It's imperative to collaborate with business leaders to ensure accurate reporting, analysis, budgets, and forecasts. You will act as a strategic business partner, connecting with operating units through analysis and critical thinking to drive financial and business performance.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Use system tools and critical thinking to provide detailed insights into operational and financial performance.
  • Serve as a business partner to operating units, collaborating with leaders to resolve problems, address variances, and determining current and future risks based on monthly and year-to-date results.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for operating units, including planning for volumes, revenue, staffing, and expenses.
  • Provide support for HR analytics, analyzing key workforce metrics such as staffing, payroll, and other human capital data to assist in strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain positive and trusting relationships with business partners and finance colleagues to effectively maximize performance.
  • Analyze target vs. actual variances on a monthly basis and partner with leadership to recommend improvement plans.
  • Obtain, relate, and compare data from different sources using various software applications to validate the reasonableness of the data.
  • Perform complex financial, statistical, productivity, and cost analytics.
  • Interpret data to discover underlying causes, patterns, relationships, and trends to identify areas for improvement and aid in decision-making and process improvement activities.
  • Prepare monthly and annual reports
  • Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS 


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent; master’s and/or CPA preferred.   
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite computer skills
  • 4+ years of experience in a general accounting or finance role.
  • An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards.
  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player
  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and follow through on multiple daily tasks and projects.
