Your Role

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will lead the development and refinement of manufacturing processes for high-volume mechanical assemblies. This role emphasizes plastic molding, ultrasonic and vibration welding, and collaboration with suppliers to deliver reliable, efficient, and cost-effective production. You will partner with internal teams and external manufacturers to improve throughput, maintain quality, and ensure safe and scalable operations. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with molding suppliers to define molding and plastic welding (ultrasonic, vibration, etc.) parameters and controls, resolve production issues, and ensure consistent quality and capacity.
  • Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and line layouts to improve site manufacturing efficiency, safety, and throughput.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Test, Quality, and Operations to resolve non-conformances and drive continuous improvement.
  • Define and maintain manufacturing plans for NPI builds, ensuring readiness for production release and scaling.
  • Support cost control, supplier selection, and product improvement initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.

Core Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in high-volume production of plastic and mechanical assemblies.
  • Hands-on expertise in plastic molding processes, tooling, and weld-based joining methods.
  • Strong background in process validation, capability studies, and root cause investigation.
  • Proficiency with statistical tools for process control and optimization.

Desired Skills / Experience

  • Proficiency in CAD tools for fixture and tool development.
  • Strong communication skills to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience driving performance management initiatives with molding and assembly partners.
  • Familiarity with automation in assembly or welding processes.
  • Experienced with supplier qualification and global manufacturing operations.

Pay Range: $125,000 - $140,000

*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.

**Additional compensation may include equity, bonuses, stipends, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and long-term disability insurance.
