Job Summary
Provide leadership of fundraising event efforts, including oversight for planning, implementation, and measurement of assigned events in support of organizational goals. Events are highly visible both internally and externally; they represent a key brand touchpoint for Mn Adult & Teen Challenge. This position collaborates with Donor Relations in management of all involved parties that help plan and host events, as well as supervises an Event Coordinator.

- Participate/drive planning and implementation of assigned events in order to engage donor audiences, meet fundraising goals, and advancing organizational goals. Coordinate with the internal team and local vendors to plan and implement all events efficiently.
- Ensure consistency across events.
- Track event expenses to ensure budget compliance.
- Communicate with timely reports as events proceed from conception to post-event evaluations and recommendations. Provide a summary of attendance, brief financial and overall wins.
- Keep accurate event registration records and contact lists.
- Work with the marketing team for design of all event materials.
- Schedule and lead regular meetings with stakeholders to kick off and plan events.
Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing/development/fundraising/sales/event planning.
- 5+ years of experience successfully planning large fundraising events with documented results.
- Willingness to travel to meet with vendors and be on site leading up to events, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience leading contract negotiations for vendor support.
- Excellent communication, relationship management and interpersonal skills; the ability to work effectively with donors, volunteers and staff; display superior judgment and diplomatic skills; excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Detail-oriented and ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently
- Must be highly organized and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Extremely high degree of professionalism and integrity, as well as the ability to pay attention to detail and quality standards are required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Comfort and compassion in working with individuals facing life-controlling challenges, such as
mental health issues and addiction.

- Must be able to successfully pass background check and have unrestricted access to driving privileges

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Target Compensation (Negotiable based on qualifications):
$52,000-$55,000/year
