We have an exciting opportunity in a modern investigation team that:
- Is not a standard desktop investigator role
- Gets out into the field undertaking inspections
- Travels to various locations within NSW
- Undertakes targeted proactive compliance programs
- Conducts investigations into serious beaches including fraud
- Maintains the integrity of a $2 billion fund
About the team:
Due to additional investment in the Long Service Corporation, the Compliance team is expanding to better serve the customers of NSW. Long Service Corporation (LSC) manages building and construction industry and contract cleaning industry portable Long Service Schemes. LSC provides portable long service to 470,000 workers and 36,000 employers in the building and construction industry and 95,000 workers and 1,000 employers in the contract cleaning industry.
There are a number of teams that are a part of LSC including: Compliance, Claims, Registrations, Quality Assurance and Projects. The Compliance team is responsible for ensuring scheme integrity by using a risk based compliance model and:
- Undertakes various compliance activities including compliance programs, inspections and investigations
- Collaborates with LSC teams, other organisations within DCS and other state and territory long service leave regulators
- Utilises intelligence to develop programs of work
- Has access to training to support continuous professional and personal development

This role is responsible for:
- Undertaking compliance and investigation activities through the delivery of risk based regulatory programs to ensure and enhance compliance
- Participating in proactive compliance programs to educate stakeholders on their rights and obligations to ensure compliance
- Providing advice to internal and external customers and stakeholders to maximise regulatory outcomes and reduce negative impact on customers
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Either a Certificate IV in Government (Investigations), or willingness to complete an employer sponsored program.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Willingness to conduct field-based compliance inspections.
- Current NSW Driver’s licence and ability and willingness to drive to various locations in NSW.
Salary Grade 5/6, with the base salary for this role starting at 99,938 base plus superannuation
