About the role:

Cyber Manager – Security & Privacy Services

Location: Perth Office | Division: Risk Advisory | Employment Type: Full-Time

RSM is seeking a skilled and motivated Cyber Manager to join our Security & Privacy Services team in Perth. This is a dynamic opportunity to manage end-to-end cyber security and information security engagements across a diverse client base, while contributing to the development of our people, services, and strategic direction.

As a Cyber Manager, you will lead the delivery of cyber security, IT audit, and information security engagements. You will manage client relationships, oversee project teams, and contribute to business development and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on IT and cyber security risk management across applications, databases, operating systems, and network infrastructure
  • Conduct IT and cyber risk assessments, technical reviews, and third-party risk evaluations
  • Manage project delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes, budget control, and timely completion
  • Lead and mentor team members, ensuring compliance with methodology and quality standards
  • Prepare high-quality client deliverables including reports and recommendations
  • Perform quality assurance and technical reviews of team outputs
  • Identify and document technical issues and proposed solutions for partner review
  • Collaborate with other divisions to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and regulatory developments
  • Support fee negotiation and ensure commercial viability of engagements
  • Monitor team resourcing and contribute to workforce planning
  • Engage with clients at senior levels to understand business needs and tailor solutions
  • Assist with business development activities including proposals and opportunity identification
  • Contribute to internal leadership, strategy, and staffing discussions
  • Represent the team in internal and external meetings and presentations

About you:

Education Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary degree or qualification
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC or equivalent are essential

Experience and Attributes:

  • 5 to 9 years’ experience in professional services, with a focus on cyber security, IT audit, internal controls, or risk management
  • Experience with security risk assessments and governance frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ASD Essential Eight, PCI DSS, ISO/IEC 27001, PSPF, GDPR
  • Ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences
  • Strong understanding of IT processes, infrastructure, and project management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and written communication capabilities
  • Proven ability to manage client portfolios and deliver high-quality service
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively
  • Experience managing teams and contributing to performance development

Desirable:

  • Experience with data analytics audit techniques and tools
  • Exposure to business development activities
